Triggering Movies, Books, etc. →
“This page was created because I got tired of being “ambushed” by books and movies with triggering topics. This list was compiled by survivors and allies to warn survivors about triggering material. This is by no means a list of books and movies to avoid, as many are wonderful and can help you on your healing journey. Of course, some of them are crap. Either way, it is important to prepare...

Softening and Sexualizing of Lisbeth Salander →
thesexuneducated: Very interesting article. I have yet to see the American version of the film, but am interested to see if any of this correlates. This film is very controversial, especially within a feminist context, as many of you know. I will definitely be reporting once I see it. What are any of your thoughts on Fincher’s “Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”?

dottianne asked: hey uh don't publish this but do you mind using a nsfw tag for stuff that is really explicit like your last post? I mean, it's cool, but I'd like to tumblr saviour it since my dashboard is mostly sfw.

Interviewer: What do you think it says about girls, that so many of them like Tate?
Evan: I think that it’s fascinating. I mean, I think there’s something kind of sexy about Tate. There’s something that’s sexy about a guy who has the strength to kill somebody, but is also vulnerable enough to be in love. It’s just those two sides — like, I don't know why, but women for some reason aren’t attracted to normal guys, like, guys who are in between. But if you really take a step back and look at Tate, he’s insane. The way he loves Violet is creepy; it’s completely unhealthy. But I can see why they are attracted to him: He’s totally in love with Violet. And he’s a gangster.
